Here's what I have been up to...

Drinking milk or water from a cup! My favorite part is spitting it all back out and watching mom try to be upset and not laugh.

One of my favorite foods is chili beans, probably because they make the biggest mess.

Yep, Pig Tails! Dad keeps bugging mom about doing something with my crazy hair so she tried pig tails. aparently she doesn't get that my screaming and moving around means I don't want them. I am not sure how to get her to understand me!

Playing!!

Brushing my teeth! This is my new favorite thing to do!

Pure excitiment over my new car seat! I can see so much more! I just love it! It makes me feel so grown up!
Daddys Favorites: Getting me out of my crib every morning when I wake up! And the very few times I have fallen asleep in his arms. I just prefer mom because she has long hair i can rub against my face but I am gettting better at letting dad have a chance once in a while.

Moms Favorites: Hugs after naptime, Walks and the Joy in my face when I do big kid things. Oh and how excited I get going down the slide!

ONE

I am a whole year old!

Since I am cinco de mayo baby mom decided we'd have a Pinata for every birthday. This is one where you pull the strings instad of hitting it. I didn't quite get what was going on till all the candy fell out.

But my cousin Livi did and there wasn't much compatition so she went home with plenty of candy and a big smile!

I was also a little confused with the cupcake and wasn't interested in getting too messy I enjoyed a few licks of frosting. I think mom was hoping I'd just shove it all in and make a big mess. I don't understand adults every day mom gets mad when I make a mess and throw my food on the floor and then when we have a ton of guests over she wants me to make a huge mess, and just after she spent the whole day cleaning the house. I don't get here sometimes

I got some cool gifts and lots of cute outfits! I really need to spend some time with my toys and figure out how to play with them but they sure do look cool. Thanks everyone for the fun gifts and comeing to the party!

I was sure glad to have Livi there to show me how the birthday party thing works. She helped me figure out how to open my presents.

And thanks to Makae I got a head start on figuring out how these toys work. I am sure glad they came to my party.

I sure did enjoy my Birthday!

Update from Mom:

We can't believe how fast this year has gone! We are having so much fun with this little lady. She loves to play. He favorite toys are balls, she love to throw them and has quite the arm. This is pretty impressive but becomes a big problem in church! She says "Whats that" which I think is pretty cute! She pulls herself up to everything and then gets frusterated becasue she hasn't figured out how to sit back down. She'll put anything and everthing in her mouth and really seems to enjoy paper she'll eat that like a champ yet I can't seem to get her to eat real food very well. She just throws it on the floor. However she really like Grapefruit, she'll eat the whole thing! I think this is weird because I am pretty sure it is not the most popular fruit. Lets take a poll, leave a comment letting me know if you like grapefruit or not. And I don't put sugar on it so I guess the question is do you like grapefruit without sugar?

Thanks to dad we finally have a few pictures to post. The first two are from a while back but the others are from just a couple days ago.

Daddy with his sleeping beauty. Dad likes to hold me most when I am sleeping I think. Actually its probably more that I'm ok with him holding me when I am sleeping.

In these two dad is attempting to get a picture of me with his edge products hat on so he can put it on his desk at work but I was not too excited about having that hat on my head.

And the question you are asking "is my hair always so crazy?" Yes it is! no matter how hard mom tries to clam it down there is always some sticking up somewhere!

December!!!

Hunting with Mom and Dad for the perfect Christmas tree! Mom and I got cold pretty quick and hung out in the truck, I took a nap while we waited for Dad.

Uncle Jimmy got Married December 16th to the Lovely Heidi And I got to ware this pretty dress that Heidi's roommate made. It was a long day but we are so glad to have Heidi in the Family and uncle Jimmy so happy.

Me with the Bride and groom and my hair sticking strait in the air, it does that no matter how hard mom tried to get it to lay down. You just gotta love it!

We decided to go with a Christmas theme in decorating the car and we were pretty happy with how it turned out!

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS

Santa took a picture just after loading the stockings and before he went to the next house. Mom made the stockings and is pretty proud of herself. She finished them the day before Christmas eve. We were worried she wouldn't get them done in time but she did!!!

Here I am going through my stocking Christmas morning. I was pretty excited about the oranges and the Hot Cocoa. But now that I look back on it I don't think I got to enjoy consuming either of them. Mom and Dad say I was just excited because It was morning and I am always really happy when I wake up in the morning. Either way I enjoyed going through my stocking.

After We all went through our stockings we loaded up the gifts and went over to Granny and Grandpa Dryden's for Breakfast and to open gifts with everyone else.

I'm ready to open them all!!

I got a jumparoo!! Its a lot of fun for about five minutes, then I am ready to be put on the floor so I can roll all over the place.

Time For a New Post

I know, I know, its time for a new post and has been for a while. But I need a little help from mom to post pictures so this one will just be my personal profile cause mom is busy making stockings.



My name is Adalynn Dryden I am about 28 in long 15 some lbs, blue eyes (kind of still grey still but hopefully going blue), light brown hair, cutest little nose ever. I love sitting up and playing with my toys. I also enjoy putting anything I can in my mouth, unless it is carrots or bananas, I like sweet potatoes but my body doesn't seem to feel the same way. I had some at thanksgiving dinner and just finally got over the rash it gave me. I love it when my dad is home and just watch his every move. If you talk to me I'll smile bigger than ever. I don't like to go to sleep, I really don't like to go to sleep! and don't nap very long. I don't eat very much, I roll around every where I can. I also love my mom a ton, except when she tries to put me to sleep. If you'd like to get to know me better just visit this blog periodically as I will update it as I have time.

6 Months

I am now 6 months old as of Thursday. My mom and dad can't believe I've been around that long. I went to the Doctor yesterday and he said I am doing well. I weighed in at 14.13 lbs which is in the 20th percentile and my length was 26in which is in the 60th percentile so I guess I'm not a very big baby. Dad was nervous cause I had to get shots Its a good thing he didn't go with me because he would have cried more than I did. I decided to be strong for him even though he wasn't there so Ionly shed a few tears. I really am growing up, I sit up really well with some help and do alright for a little bit without help. I can roll to my stomach just fine but I don't enjoy that position much and haven't quite got the hang of rolling back over. My dad is pretty good at making me laugh, I laugh most when I am really tired. I love my dad and watching him. I hate going to sleep even when I'm real tired but mom seems to hate when I'm awake and real tired so she tries to rocks me to sleep and I put up a good fight but she usually wins. I demand a lot of attention and stress my mom out sometimes but I'm pretty sure she still thinks I'm the cutest thing in the world! I'm pretty sure I have the best mommy and daddy in the World!
