MERRY CHRISTMAS

Dear Friends and Family,
We have had a wonderful year this year full of family, fun, joy and love! What more could a family ask for.
Lisa started the year off right with a long weekend in Vegas with some college friends and had more fun then she thought possible. She also enjoyed her church calling serving with the Young Women and was very upset when they released her a couple of weeks ago. She's enjoyed lots of reading and some Crocheting.
Joe is grateful to have a stable job. He was able to squeeze in one rafting trip this summer which is not nearly enough but he still enjoyed it. He also spent most of the year wishing it was fall so he could be out bird hunting and was very happy when fall rolled around. He Is very excited to be getting himself a little hunting buddy come May.
Adalynn has had some fun this year and has given us some experiences we aren't so sure we enjoyed. She got stitches in her forehead in May and a concussion in December. We also went through potty training and big girl bed training. She loves to help around the house and talk talk talk, and we can't seem to get enough of her! She's so sweet and good and so much fun! We spent lots of weekends at grandparents houses this year which Adalynn loved! She LOVES her grandparents and going to their houses. She doesn't quite understand the idea of getting a baby brother but likes to tell people that Mommy has a baby in her belly and she has food in her belly and Daddy has food in his belly. I sure hope she doesn't think I ate a baby. She is such a smart little girl and surprises us every day with the things she says and does.
We are thankful this year for our wonderful friends and the amazing family we have, we feel so blessed. We are thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ, for His life and His example. This is a wonderful time of year to reflect on the sweet baby Jesus and the man He became. We find joy through him and we hope you can feel of His love this Christmas season. We wish you all the best and send our love.
Love, Joseph, Lisa, Adalynn and Baby Boy Dryden

The Kitchen!!

Well we've been quite busy this summer. I'm pretty sure we've only spent 2, maybe 3 Saturdays at home this whole summer. But I'm not complaining because I got to see my grandparents a lot! After a couple of days at home I start asking mom if we are going to see grandma and grandpa. If I see her packing a bag I grab my shoes, bag and some keys and head for the door ready to visit my grandparents. The reason we spent so much time away is because My dad was building a new Kitchen for Grandma Hendrix. He had some help from his Brother and Dad and spent quite a few weekends in Preston building it and then quite a few more in Idaho Falls installing it and it turned out to be beautiful! Grandma was very happy with it. I've posted some before during and after pictures so enjoy!

BEFORE

DURING

Almost Done (just needs toe kicks, and trim)
AFTER

If you look at the second "before" picture you will notice a window on the right of the picture which would be just next to the fruit bowls in the picture above. That window was knocked out and french doors are now there leading into the sun room that my parents expanded. So the next two pictures show the sun room.

I Pooped!!

"I pooped!"
"Do it myself."
"Shut the door."
"I want to flush it."

Mommy calls it potty trained. I get to wear princess underwear all day unless its nap-time or bed-time. Or unless Daddy is taking me somewhere, he's still a bit nervous about the idea.

insert from mom- just at this moment I was thinking I should get a picture of adalynn on the potty to post on here. So I ask Adalynn if she need to go potty? She says "I do it myself." so I thought I'll just wait till she's sitting on the potty then go in and snap a picture. I'm watching as she goes in shuts the door, and few seconds later she opens the door trows her panties and pants out onto the floor shuts the door again the then i hear her lock it. So much for a picture of her in the potty. A few seconds later I hear the toilet flush and a struggle with the door knob and then "Mom I want out." She cracks me up! not sure why she has to throw her pants into the hall but it sure was funny.

2

Well I'm 2 years old today. HappyBirthday to me! I am sure you all are wondering what I am up to now that I am 2 so let me tell you.

I lub my Grandma and Grandpa and I lub my Granny and Grandpa and I make sure to tell mom this every day.

I love to sing "ring around the rosey," Once there was a snowman," "If you're happy and you know it," and I love to see the temple."

My Favorite Movie is "Jessie Andy Woody Buz" I also like Tangled.

I really like going to the park and going on walks which means that I am sick of it raining all of the time because then mom won't take me outside.

I love to eat cereal in the mornings

I love to color.

My Favorite color was yellow but I am starting to really like purple.

I am pretty adamant that I get to pick out me own clothes and I usually pick a Skirt, sometimes 2 and sometimes a skirt and pants. But today I wanted pants.

I'll post a bunch of pictures so you can see all the fun things I got to do today for my Birthday!

The outfit I picked out for today. Really I didn't want to wear anything but mom told me I couldn't go to the store untill I put some clothes on.

Jumping

just haning out on the grass watching the cars drive by.

I love to slide and love even more to swing but there wasn't a swing at this park.

Didn't my Mom do such a good job on my cake! I loved it!

Opening presents with Granny and Grandpa. I was so so so glad they came to celebrate my birthday with me.

Loved this gift!

We are having an Elmo party at the park complete with a pinata and all! Its going to be some much fun! As long as it doesn't snow or rain.

First Date!

My Friend Marcie gave us an extra ticket they had to Disney on Ice so I took Dad on a date. We had a lot of fun!

And I even go to sit be Marcie and watch the show!
I am a huge fan of Mickey Mouse so I thought is was really neat to see him!

Just waiting for Daddy to get ready for our date.

And here are some pictures I thought I'd share with you just for fun!
Like I said earlier, I am a huge fan of Mickey! The books in my hand are my Mickey Mouse Clubhouse books. To say I love them would be an understatement! They go everywhere I go even bedtime and nap time as you can see. Who needs a blanky or stuffed animal when you have these books. If you see me somewhere, anywhere most likely I'll have a book in my hand. I love books even more than Mickey Mouse!

Just hanging out one morning. I say morning cause I'm in my jabbies (jammies is how mom says it) but that's not necessarily true cause sometimes I'm in my jabbies till after my afternoon nape so who knows what time of day it actually is when this picture was taken.

Just enjoying this cookie that is bigger than my face! It was kind of messy and I don't really like being messy and sticky.

So in January mom left me with dad for a long weekend and went down to Las Vegas to meet up with some friend that she met her first year at college. She seemed to have had a blast. She said they spent lots of time talking and laughing and crying and laughing and talking and crying. It was almost too much fun she says. They are planning to do it again in two years in Washington where they all met!

Karaoke Mom was a woose and just watched and laughed, really hard cause these girls are hilarious!

Did I mention that she had way too much fun without me and Dad!

catching up!

Off to Find the perfect Christmas Tree... At Smiths food and drug! My enjoyed this so much more than searching for hours in the Mountains for the perfect Charlie Brown christmas tree. We were in and out and the tree was beautiful!

Yep that's me hugging our beautiful Christmas Tree!

Umm... Yeah... not sure who the guy in the red is but mom and dad seemed to think it would be funny to put me on his lap.

I did NOT think is was very funny!

The day after thanksgiving the Dryden family went into the mountains looking for christmas trees. We just played. I had a lot of fun sliding down the hill with dad!
I think Mom and Dad were glad they just got one form the grocery store.
What girl doesn't love to dress Up!!

Dad was happy to get in some good fall Hunting trips
Chucker hunting in Nevada with Grandpa Hendrix and Moms Brothers

Pheasant Hunting with some friend near Preston.

Me keeping mom entertained while daddy was out hunting.
